Emily & Daniel | Luxury Destination Wedding in Cabo, Mexico


As an Arizona-based destination wedding photographer, there are certain places that never lose their magic—and Cabo San Lucas is always one of them.


Emily and Daniel’s wedding weekend was the kind of experience that perfectly reflects why couples choose a Cabo San Lucas destination wedding: ocean views, intentional design, and an atmosphere that feels both elevated and effortlessly relaxed.


Their celebration began on a warm Wednesday evening with a private yacht welcome party along the Cabo coastline. As a traveling wedding photographer, these are the moments I love most to document—the in-between memories. Guests mingled as we sailed toward the iconic arches, the light turning everything golden as the sun dipped into the ocean...

THURSDAY BROUGHT A SLOWER, MORE INTIMATE PACE..


We met for a sunset beach session—a “day before” photoshoot that felt completely carefree. One of the things I always recommend as a destination wedding photographer is carving out time like this. Without the structure of a wedding timeline, Emily and Daniel were able to fully be present—running along the shoreline, embracing the wind and waves, and simply enjoying where they were.

BY FRIDAY, EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER...


The morning began at a stunning beachfront resort, where Emily and Daniel got ready just steps from the ocean. From there, we made our way to their venue overlooking the marina—one of the many reasons couples are drawn to planning a wedding in Cabo San Lucas.


Set against the open ocean, Emily and Daniel stood hand in hand as waves crashed rhythmically behind them—steady, grounding, almost as if the entire landscape was bearing witness to what they were promising each other. The air was warm, the light softening, and everything else seemed to fall away. It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t performative. It was deeply, intentionally theirs. They exchanged vows with a kind of quiet certainty—the kind you can feel without needing to hear every word. There was a stillness to it, a reverence that made the moment feel both intimate and expansive all at once.And then, just as the last light began to dip below the horizon, we slipped away.


Barefoot in the sand, with the sky turning shades of pink and blue, Emily gathered her dress and Daniel pulled her close—laughing, a little windblown, completely present. These were the in-between moments again, the ones that aren’t planned but somehow become everything. The ocean stretched endlessly beside them as the day softened into evening, and for a few minutes, it felt like it was only the two of them in the world.


As night fell, the energy shifted. What began as an intimate, oceanfront ceremony transformed into a celebration that felt electric. The reception space glowed under candlelight—tables flickering, music building, the air warm and alive. Guests gathered close, glasses raised, the kind of atmosphere where everyone feels it: this is going to be a night to remember.


And it was.


The music started, the dance floor filled, and just like that, the entire evening opened up. Emily and Daniel moved through it all effortlessly—laughing, spinning, holding onto their people and each other as the night unfolded around them.


It was wild in the best way. Joyful, unfiltered, unforgettable.
